We heard of Penn Foundation through my wife’s employer. The company’s benefits include counseling through Penn Foundation. When we realized our son had a problem with drugs, we went to Penn Foundation and the counselor there gave us a brochure for Rehab at Home.
At that time, we were dealing with chaos. Our son had already tried other rehabs and had relapsed. The part of Rehab at Home that gave us hope was the fact that there was support for the whole family. The coaching aspect (for both family and addict) was wonderful. We liked that Penn Foundation could be coach and intermediary. When we tried, in the past, to handle situations by ourselves, we didn’t know how. Now we have help.
Things haven’t been perfect. Our son was clean for 6 months, then had another relapse. He used for about 2 weeks, then he called us. He then called his Rehab at Home counselor on his own and decided to get help. His counselor helped him get into detox again, then a recovery house. He’s been clean for about a year now.
We are so grateful that we have someone to call when there is trouble or a concern. Rehab at Home tailored everything to our needs. What is most important is that Penn Foundation is never more than a phone call away. I’ve recommended Rehab at Home to others, I can’t say enough about it!
